MAKING THE CASE FOR VALUE-BASED CARE

Primary care and specialty practices from across the region gathered June 8 in Atlantic City for this hands-on, peer-led session to learn how to make changes in your practice to improve patient care and maximize your quality and utilization measures.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty that focuses on the care of adult patients, and internal medicine physicians are specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.
Although this definition seems fairly straightforward, it does not fully capture the breadth and richness of internal medicine as a medical discipline or the degree of its importance in our health care system.
Elizabeth, NJ — Several hundred New Jersey internists, residents and medical students convened at the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel for the ACP-New Jersey Chapter’s 2017 Scientific Meeting, which featured a day and a half of education, networking and other activities.
