PART EIGHT - Oncology - 2024 ENDURING

Join our master faculty for a four-hour webinar course spread across two two-hour sessions  where you will learn about major clinical topics in the field of Oncology.  This course will be beneficial to all Internal Medicine physicians who are seeking to improve their care for oncology patients.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Explain the basics of the TNM cancer staging system.
  2. Compare and contrast overall survival, progression-free survival, and disease-free survival.
  3. Describe methods of immunotherapy, such as hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy.
  4. Discuss the most effective initial management methods for various forms of cancer.
  5. Compare and contrast how various cancers present in the human body, such as colon versus breast cancer.
  6. Determine most appropriate treatment given specific patient case studies.
